Innovation in Public Administration: The “Open” Government. SPID: Public Digital Identity System

Innovate in the italian public administartion, with the establishment of the SPID system public administrations users will find it easier to allow online access to their services, simply through the authentication cards already required by law and through the SPID system. The companies that will adopt the SPID system to authenticate their users will be exempted from a partial obligation of oversight for their own data and their own procedures. Data and Methods: In this paper we analyze part of the SPID system with a critical view, in particular we propose a modification of SPID based on a cooperative approach to allow user authentication by preserving the anonymity of the identity provider which grants the authentication credentials.
